A few weeks back, we asked alumni from across the University of Hawai‘i System to share stories on the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, the outbreak of the war and what it meant to those who experienced it. Alumni were invited to share a personal account or a second-hand account on behalf of a family member or friend.
We are extremely grateful and humbled by the submissions we’ve received and we’re excited to share them with all of you, our UH alumni ‘ohana.
We will be posting submissions once a week and updating this page with a complete list of submissions for your reference.
Mahalo for sharing your stories and helping us to contribute to the 75th Commemoration of Pearl Harbor.
