May Ho, Creative Operations Group Manager at Starbucks
Long before May Ho became the Creative Operations Group Manager at Starbucks, she was taking classes at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Shidler College of Business.
As someone who has lived in Seattle all her life, May was looking forward to expanding her horizons by attending the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and experiencing what it was like to live on O’ahu.
“I always wanted a chance to live in Hawai’i,” Ho says.
May prides herself on supporting her local community “I love the fact that we encourage our partners and our new employees to support the community and serve our community,” Ho Says.
May offers advice to current students who are attending the University, she not just recommends enjoying the island and the culture it brings, but engaging with the people you meet there as well.
“Build your network, get to know the people that are at UH, they will become lifelong friends,” Ho says.
