On February 17, Hawai‘inuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge Dean Maenette Benham hosted the Welina Mānoa Tour at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Alumni and friends were treated to a special tour where they were able to experience the Kamehameha butterfly project, UH honeybee project, and a behind the scenes tour of Kennedy Theatre and special library collections including the Congressional records and Hawaiian and Pacific Collections.
Guests were thrilled to experience a performance by students of the Hawaiian Theatre program in the College of Arts and Humanities and get an up close and personal tour of the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources Insect Museum. The Museum is currently digitizing their entire collection, which will result in a fully searchable database that includes images and can generate interactive maps.
