“Welcome to Maui” TIMI Social
TIM International (TIMI) hosted a Maui TIM alumni social event on Friday, October 16 at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. This event coincided with the Quarterly Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association (HLTA) Conference where TIMI was fortunate enough to attend the Friday HLTA Luncheon before having its bi-monthly board meeting and social event. Dean Thomas Bingham from the UH Mānoa TIM School was also present at the HLTA conference and attended both the TIMI meeting and social event.
After the HLTA luncheon, TIMI conducted its bi-monthly board meeting where two new TIMI Board members were elected: Dave Evans, professor and department chair for the Hospitality and Tourism Program at Kapi‘olani Community College and Nicole Nagashima, senior sales manager at the Waikīkī Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. Dave is a past TIMI president and board director.
Later that evening, TIMI hosted its “Welcome to Maui!” social event at the Roof Top Pacific Terrace at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa where about 20 alumni attended. The food and beverage was hosted by TIMI and everyone enjoyed the delicious crab cakes, shrimp, assorted canapes and other appetizers (pūpū). Everyone had a wonderful time and is looking forward to attending another neighbor island board meeting in 2016.
