UH Mānoa Hānai Alumni program

We are looking for UH Mānoa alumni volunteers who are willing to “hānai” one or more incoming UH Mānoa students – to serve as mentors and help kick-start their Hawai‘i network.

The Hānai Alumni program is designed with three goals in mind:

Engage incoming students
Create a sense of belonging & support
Give back to your alma mater

We need you! Your support of this pilot program and your mālama for our first-year students will help make Mānoa feel like home. It’s a minimal time commitment – just meet with student(s) at least once a month.

Alumni volunteers are also needed for:

Homecoming
Commencement
Regional events/activities
Alumni recruitment club
- Accepted student receptions
- Student sendoffs
