UH Mānoa alumna Karen Ann Takizawa
Karen Ann Takizawa finished her most recent project called, World War II Revisited: Two POWs, Two Sides, Two Stories.
This project, which she worked on together with her husband, tells about the experiences of her grandfather and her husband’s uncle, who were both POWs during the war in the Pacific, but on opposite sides of the conflict.
Takizawa is a 1977 graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with an MA in English as a second language. She has been living in Japan for many years as an English teacher and writer.
