TIMSA Tea Time with Alumni
About 30 TIM alumni and students came together Wednesday, October 21 for a “Tea Time with TIM alumni” social networking event held at the TIM School. The Travel Industry Management Student Association (TIMSA) organized and hosted the event in an effort to give its members the opportunity to build their networking skills and gain more insight into various careers in the industry.
During the event, students and alumni were grouped together to interact with each other. Students rotated through three rounds giving them to opportunity to network with different alumni. The alumni had many positive things to say about the event including how they enjoyed interacting with the students and sharing their stories back when they were TIM students.
TIMSA members also enjoyed the opportunity to network with alumni. TIMSA President Timothy Rafael stated, “One inspiring lesson learned from this event, is to always stay connected with our fellow TIM classmates and alumni. Never burn the bridges between the people you meet, because you never know when they would help you in the future. As TIM students, we hope to become successful someday and give back to the TIM School, just like our alumni.” TIMSA plans to continue this great event every year.
