On March 31, the School of Travel Industry Management (TIM) celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a gala “Celebrate a Legacy in Tourism” event at the Sheraton Waikīkī that attracted 570 guests.
Hawaii Five-0 Executive Producer Peter Lenkov was honored as the TIM Legacy recipient in the field of creative media. Noel Trainor, principal of Savoy Consulting LLC, was presented with the TIM Distinguished Service Award and TIM alumnus Daniel Chun, Alaska Airlines regional manager–sales & community marketing–Hawaiʻi, was inducted into the TIM Alumni Hall of Fame.
On his induction into the TIM Alumni Hall of Honor Daniel Chun stated, “While I know that I should have done more to deserve this, I am completely humbled and grateful, and it really just encourages me to do more to be sure that I live up to this incredible recognition and all of our many distinguished alumni worldwide.”
Over $100,000 was raised from the “Celebrate a Legacy in Tourism” event. 100% of the net proceeds will go to fund scholarships for deserving TIM students.
