TIM alumnus Kevin Iwamoto
University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Travel Industry Management (TIM) alumnus Kevin Iwamoto (1977), senior consultant at GoldSpring Consulting LLC, is featured on the cover of the June 2016 issue of MeetingsNet Magazine as one of 20 meetings industry changemakers for 2016. Iwamoto is one of the original founders of the Strategic Meetings Management program, which has become the standard for the meetings industry.
Iwamoto also received the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence Award for Meeting Industry Leadership during the MPI 2016 World Education Conference that was held in Atlantic City from June 10–14, 2016. This award honors individuals who have positively changed the global meeting and event industry. It also recognizes sustained commitment and substantial contributions to the meeting and event community.
In addition to the above honors, Iwamoto has given back to the TIM school by establishing an annual scholarship that will allow a student to attend his alma mater.
