Julie Inouye promoted to JABSOM director of development

The University of Hawai‘i Foundation is happy to announce that Julie Inouye (Mānoa, BBA ’00) has been promoted to director of development at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). In this new role, she supports JABSOM Dean Jerris Hedges in expanding fundraising efforts and broadening philanthropic support for the medical school’s students, programs, research and faculty.

Inouye has served as the associate director of development and alumni engagement for JABSOM since 2016.  Before joining the UH Foundation, she spent 16 years in the financial services industry, earning the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2003.   

A graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute, Inouye earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.  Her community leadership roles include having served as a president for the Organization of Woman Leaders (OWL) and board member for the Financial Planning Association of Hawai‘i.
