Alumnus creates endowed scholarships
With a gift of $80,000, John H. Bing, Jr. (BBA ’66) has established two endowed scholarships at the Shidler College of Business and the School of Travel Industry Management at UH Mānoa. The John H. Bing, Jr. Endowed Scholarship will be split evenly between the two schools.
Bing is a veteran of the restaurant and food service industry where he managed fine dining, theme and ethnic restaurants, fast food, corporate food service, movie studio commissaries, retail restaurants and gourmet food markets for 39 years before retiring in 2007.
