WSRSLAA 11th Annual Wine Tasting

The William S. Richardson School of Law Alumni Association held its 11th Annual Wine Tasting Event at HASR Bistro in downtown Honolulu on June 25th immediately following its Annual Meeting and installation of new officers and directors. Roughly 115 Richardson alumni and friends enjoyed the event, being treated to a wide variety of fine wines and sakes, as well as HASR’s outstanding pupus (the ribs “broke da mouth”).

The Wine Tasting Committee was chaired by incoming President, Tyler Gomes (‘12), whose committee did an outstanding job of recruiting some of Honolulu’s finest wine purveyors to kōkua with the event. Law School Dean, Aviam Soifer, kindly joined the Alumni Association and provided an update on recent events and initiatives at the Law School.

The Wine Tasting, which is this year’s primary fundraising event for the Association, raised over $2,000, principally from its silent auction and kind donations from alumni and generous Hawaiʻi law firms. Money raised provide scholarships for law students who have demonstrated a commitment to public service.
