Culinary alumni reconnect at the new CIP
On March 2, 2017, Louise Pagotto, Interim Chancellor of Kapi‘olani Community College, welcomed alumni, faculty and guests on the scenic slopes of Diamond Head at the new Culinary Institute of the Pacific. The inaugural event gathered over 100 culinary arts alumni for an evening of reconnecting and fellowship.
Participants were treated to delectable appetizers and desserts prepared by current students of the program with guidance from their award-winning chef instructors. Spirits remained high, despite heavy rain later in the evening, and the weather did not keep anyone from enjoying the gathering. It was a memorable evening of the senses with flavorful, fragrant, eye-catching fare highlighted by fun, laughter and an amazing view of Honolulu city lights and the cooling mist of rain.
