Pharmacy Technician

Location: Waimanalo, HI

This position is for a full time pharmacy technician. The technician will be responsible  variety of semi-technical and clerical duties. Fills, packages and provides medication. Restocks to fixed levels and compounds or repackages following established policies, practices, procedures or specific instructions and within Federal and State statutes and regulations. Performs cashiering duties such as collection of cash, check, or credit card payments for all collectible services. Must be able to consider patient care, economic and interpersonal implications of decisions and actions and lead by example. Conducts pharmacy activities of the Health Center within the context of the Patient Centered Health Care Home (PCHCH). This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Pharmacy and other staff members.

Qualifications

1. At least one year experience as a practicing pharmacy technician is preferred.
2. Ability to work with little supervision, ability to be self-directed
3. Must have good communication and organizational skills as well as a good understanding of patient and workflow processes.
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals, groups, and professionals in a culturally appropriate manner.
5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
6. Familiarity with the communities to be served is preferred.
7. Use of email and Microsoft Teams are required.
8. Must have enhanced computer skills, word processing, spread sheets, data extraction and reports (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

1. High school diploma or equivalent related experience
2. Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration required.
3. Basic Life Support certification is required.
4. Two-Step Tuberculosis clearance is required.
