Role Overview

Hale Kipa, Inc. is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support 'Ohana Resilience Services at Hale Kū Ola. This position is responsible for front desk operations: greet and assist families/visitors and clients entering the center. Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide general information. Intake/Registration: Assist with clients intake/registration and collect and maintain accurate client information and records, appointments/scheduling, data entry/record keeping, information and referral: provide available resources and services within Hale Ku Ola and community, prepare documents and distribute materials forms as needed, assist in creation of reports, presentations & other materials, support for parenting classes & workshops, assistance with financial & material services, communication and correspondence: respond to emails/letters, office organization & supplies, coordination of meetings and events. Provides a crucial role in supporting residents in emergency shelter by supporting various aspects of the shelter's operations, and program staff. Supports the ʻOhana Resilience Services and Resilience Center(Hale Kū Ola) programs to include creating an accessible, welcoming and responsive environment for all visitors and guests, to ensure the center operates smoothly so that all who access services receive the supports, assistance and resources they need. May require some weekend or evening work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years of college preferred
  • Trauma-informed preferred
  • One year of office experience, including computer skills required.
  • One year of administrative position in social services or human services field preferred.

Salary:

  • $15.00 per hour
  • Retention Bonus: $500 after 1 year of employment
  • Full-time position
