Chung recognized by WBEA

This year, UH Hilo alumnus and Hawai‘i CC Assistant Professor in Business Technology Anne Chung received the Outstanding Business Educator Award for Postsecondary Education at the Western Business Education Association conference in Bozeman, Montana.

Chung has been Hawaiʻi CC’s Business Technology (BTEC) faculty and program coordinator for the past seven years and has been a member of the BTEC Program Coordinating Council (statewide committee) for several years.

Chung graduated from UH Hilo with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese studies, a minor in business administration, and a teaching certificate. She began her teaching career in 1993 as a high school teacher and worked for the Department of Education for 16 years. While teaching full time at the high school level, she earned her master of arts in occupational studies from California State University at Long Beach.
