2010 Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner


The University of Hawai'i and UHAA will honor the recipients of the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Awards at a dinner on May 11 at the Sheraton Waikiki.


  • Patricia Saiki (UH Founders Alumni Association Lifetime Achievement Award) BS '52 Mānoa, a former teacher and member of U.S. House of Representatives representing Hawai'i 1987–91
  • Wesley Fong, BA '65 Mānoa, attorney and lecturer at the UH Mānoa School of Travel Industry Management, community leader
  • David Lassner , PhD '98 Mānoa, vice president for information technology and chief information officer for the University of Hawai'i System
  • Ashok Kumar Malhotra, PhD '69 Mānoa, Distinguished Teaching Professor of Philosophy at State University of New York at Oneonta
  • Virginia Pressler, MBA '75, MS '81, MD '82 Mānoa, executive vice president and chief strategic officer, Hawai'i Pacific Health

5:30 p.m. – Check-in, silent auction, no-host cocktails and entertainment

Parking: Validated parking (up to 12 hours): $8 for self parking, $13 for valet parking

–  For Platinum and Gold Sponsors, please e-mail your logo in .jpg, .tif, .eps or .pdf file format (minimum 300 dpi) to events@uhalumni.org by Tuesday, April 27, 2010 , to be included in the program.
–  For Platinum sponsors, complimentary valet parking will be validated in full upon check-in.
–  For Gold and Silver sponsors, complimentary self parking will be validated in full upon check-in.
–  One-year UHAA memberships will be activated when you complete the application cards at your dinner table.
