Mo‘olelo Refigured

ʻUmi Perkins teaches Hawaiian history at the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, a private, preparatory school for native Hawaiian students in Honolulu. He is also a lecturer in political science at Windward Community College in Kāneʻohe. Perkins earned his master's degree in government from Harvard University and PhD in political science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He is the author of the forthcoming textbook, Moʻolelo: A Hawaiian History, and his dissertation research is focused on Hawaiian land tenure.
