CTAHR - 29th Annual Awards Banquet
Celebrate the groundbreaking achievements of 2017 CTAHR Outstanding Alumnus Ernest J. Harris at the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources' 29th Annual Awards Banquet on Friday, May 5, at the Pomaika‘i Ballrooms at Dole Cannery.

A long-time USDA research entomologist, Dr. Harris is being honored for his work to develop fruit fly eradication and control techniques that have been adopted around the globe.
CTAHR Alumni and Friends Preisdent Kauahi Perez will also be honored, receiving the college’s Ka Hana Po‘okela Award for her service through the Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences Graduate Organization, Horticulture Society and other groups. The banquet will also present Green Point Nurseries’ Eric Tanouye with the 2017 Ka Lei Hano Heritage Award, recognize faculty excellence and service and honor student achievement and scholarships.
