2014 Life Member Event

UHAA Life Members were treated to hands-on displays at the Aerospace Expo Lab, visited with students from the NASA Flight Training Aerospace Education Lab, and viewed the show Maunakea: Between Earth and Sky at the Hōkūlani Imaginarium at this year’s Life Member event.

Hosted by the Windward Community College, guests enjoyed pūpū, cocktails and visiting with fellow UH alums and friends following the tour. Speakers at the reception were UHAA President Patrick Oki, UH System Interim President David Lassner (also a Life Member), WCC Chancellor Doug Dykstra, Center for Aerospace Education Director Joe Ciotti, and UHAA Executive Director Alvin Katahara. As an added bonus, Hōkūlani Imaginarium Manager Mary Beth Laychak gave a presentation about the Lanihuli Observatory.
