Senior Accountant

Location: Waimea, HI

W. M. Keck Observatory (WMKO), a 501(c)3 non-profit, is offering an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant who will aim to constantly improve reporting & systems and produce high-quality products in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.

The Senior Accountant ensures accounting system integrity, and prepares reports detailing financial results through the utilization of the financial information system (FIS). Establishes and maintains accounting practices and internal controls to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations and develops improvements in processes to increase effectiveness.

Required Qualifications include

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field from an accredited University.

Five (5) or more years of related experience.

Strong understanding of GAAP, FASB, and federal and state regulations.
