PURPOSE STATEMENT: Performs office, business and various support responsibilities for Hawaii advertising sales operation; provides assistance on numerous levels to the advertising sales teams on all islands.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the General Manager of Oceanic Time Warner Cable Media Sales.
ESSENTIAL STATEWIDE FUNCTIONS:
Research and Client Solutions:
Works closely with Scarborough and other research sources to extract needed local market data.
Interprets TNS CMR Hawaii information to assist sales efforts
Uses TNS/Kantar and other audience analytics software and creates compelling local data analysis on a daily basis and specific to client needs
Pulls useful data from all research sources to merge into persuasive local sales proposals
Prepares graphs, charts, maps for compelling comparisons/contrasts with high profile programming like Monday Night Football, Walking Dead, Olympics, UH Sports, etc.
Uses all of the above “discovery” to present in sales meetings
Contributes compelling local and cable research info for advertisers
Prepares client-specific media research strategies and unique and creative research solutions – to include methodology and key insights
Uses category, media and competitive research
Campaign analytics (i.e. analytics showing the performance of a client post sale)
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications with overarching skill to translate data, information and research into powerful points of view—ability to craft and tell a compelling story.
Daily Sales Support:
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload based on sales team’s needs
Account management for Account Executives to include managing all internal aspects of AE accounts from start to finish. Examples include building a client in CRM to creating advertising schedules and inputting the actual order.
Manages make-goods and pre-emptions on orders daily to secure revenue
Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external Oceanic customers.
Communicates with clients and traffic team on missing traffic, make-goods, and late orders.
Works with AEs to provide monthly recaps on key and target accounts as necessary.
Provides AEs with requested research reports.
Performs periodic customer touch points to confirm invoice receipt and answer questions.
Coordinates with client solutions mainland contacts, local production and other departments to facilitate client processing and workflow.
Researches and problem-solves client/account issues for sales team.
May perform other tasks in support of AEs and management team, including administrative duties as they arise in order to maximize the effectiveness of the team.
Assists with other ancillary needs for all sales, whether in-office organizational or event/client-related. Duties in advertising media sales tend to be multiple and various in nature; must be multi-tasker/high-energy/highly-productive.
Knowledgeable and efficient of all sales-related software (to be trained.)
Cross-trained in other assistant responsibility areas
HUMAN RELATIONS: This person interfaces with the Statewide sales teams on all islands, the production team, important clients, and many Oceanic Division departments—-upbeat, positive communication and personal skills in an upbeat and positive workplace, agreeable and polite demeanor, professionalism and courtesy are expected as second-nature. Time management is extremely important; able to organize and manage day-to-day schedule efficiently and to get the job done; positive, pro-active nature; multi-tasking ability is a must.
• Strong analytical skills required, good project planning, development and implementation. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Photoshop and other graphics software mastery a plus. Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Able to handle many tasks simultaneously. Strong ability to organize and prioritize and handle a high volume of work. Able to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is preferred
