Summary of Duties
This position is located in the Communications and Community Relations Office (CCR) of the Intergovernmental and Community Relations Department. This position coordinates the Volunteers in Public Service (VIPS). It also provides customer service assistance to the general public, and independently plans and conducts public information activities of a moderately complex nature for dissemination internally and externally.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education Requirement: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Excess experience of the type and quality described below, or any other progressively responsible professional, technical or analytical work experience which required a high degree of language skills may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
General Experience: One (1) year of experience in 1) information research and dissemination; i.e., gathering pertinent information and preparing the materials for publication or news release; or 2) public relations work which required establishing and maintaining effective relations with public information and communication media.
