University of Hawai‘i System Alumni & Friends are invited to a cultural evening of learning, lineage and legacy. Join Colette Higgins, History Scholar and Windward CC Dean of Academic Affairs for a special presentation of “Traveling in the Footsteps of Queen Kapi‘olani” on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Be transported to an era of Hawaiian royalty when King David Kalākaua and Queen Julia Kapi‘olani were the reigning monarchs of the Kingdom of Hawai‘i. Colette Higgins will share her sabbatical experience tracing the footsteps of the Queen when she traveled to England as a guest at Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887.
