| Distinguished Alumni Awards

UHAA held its 2010 Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner and silent auction May 11 at the Sheraton Waikiki. This year's DAA honorees were Wesley Fong, JD, BA '65; David Lassner, PhD '98; Ashok Kumar Malhotra, PhD '69; and Virginia Pressler, MBA '75, MS '81, MD '82. Established in 1987, the award recognizes outstanding alumni who have used their UH education to excel professionally, provide inspirational leadership to others, and provide service for the benefit of the community. The UH Founders Alumni Association Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the Hon. Patricia Saiki, BS '52. Nearly 550 guests attended the event, and more than $11,000 was raised to benefit UHAA programs.
