UHAA is an international network of alumni chapters and members whose collective goal is to advance the interests of the University of Hawai‘i, alumni and friends through mutually beneficial and lifelong relationships; to generate support for the university; and to participate in events that showcase the university's excellence.
UHAA was formally organized in 1988 as the University of Hawai‘i System's alumni organization representing alumni from 10 campuses throughout the islands. Since the first student graduated from UH Mānoa in 1911, more than 270,000 have joined the ranks of UH alumni.

About the UH Founders Alumni Association
In 1922, an informal University of Hawai‘i alumni association was organized on the Mānoa campus, the only University of Hawai‘i campus at that time. That group still exists as the UH Founders Alumni Association, now a chapter of UHAA.
